2025 Off Season Schedule
24/25 End of Season Banquet
What: Our yearly banquet is a time for us to get together as a team. Awards/recognition will be given to team members. This also serves as our annual meeting. As a Nonprofit, each family represents a membership, and we appreciate your participation.
Who: All parents and participants of the 24/25 winter wrestling season.
When: 5/17/2025 Time TBA.
Where: AHS
Spring FR/GR Season
What: This is an excellent opportunity to work with some high school wrestlers and coaches. Even if you can only make it one day a week, we encourage you to sign up and show up when you can. We will expand our technique with freestyle, Greco-Roman Roman and still cover our folkstyle opportunities.
Who: This Program is for all ages and skill levels.
When: Starts 4/14
Tuesdays 5:00 - 7:00 PM (AWC Coaches)*
Thursdays 5:00 -7:00 PM (AHS Coaches)
There are several opportunities to compete at tournaments. Look for these details when registering.
Where: AHS
*If not enough kids sign up, we will have practices once a week on Thursday. If there is demand, we will only open a second practice for AWC wrestlers.
Spring Best of The West
What: Best of West is a training opportunity by Coach Simpson of AHS. These practices are for higher-level wrestlers.
Who: You must be a state qualifier or a 2024 Freestyle/Greco State Placer. If you do not meet these criteria, you will need to speak with Coach Simpson about seeking a waiver.
When: Saturdays (with/ the exception of April 26th, May 3rd, & May 17th) 2:00-3:30pm
Where: Memphis Judo & Ju Jitsu (7859 US-64, Unit 102, Memphis, TN 38133)
Spring/Summer D1 Lifting/Folkstyle Opportunities
What: Chris Nettleton and D1 in Lakeland provided a new opportunity for the club. This training will combine weightlifting and wrestling.
Who: Any wrestler 6 years and older looking to get more time on the mat during the off-season.
When:
Starts 4/14 and goes through the end of June.
Mondays 5 -5:55 Lifting (12+ only) 5:55 - 7 PM wrestling
Wednesdays 5 -5:55 Lifting (12+ only) 5:55 - 7 PM wrestling
Where: D1 Training - Lakeland (9811 US-64, Arlington, TN 38002)
Top Cat Summer Camp
What: Yearly summer camp the club puts on in collaboration with Arlington HS
Who: All wrestlers are welcome. This is an excellent opportunity for new wrestlers or those interested in trying out the sport.
When: 5/27 - 5/31
Where: Arlington AHS
Summer Season at AHS
What: The summer season is for all wrestlers interested in staying on the mat during the summer. It is a good opportunity for beginners and kids interested in the sport to get some mat time.
Who: All wrestlers are welcome. This is an excellent opportunity for new wrestlers or those interested in trying out the sport.

Pre-Season at AHS
What: The preseason helps those interested get a head start on the upcoming year. Practices will replicate regular-season practices.
